Hand carved by Justin La Gra, our rocking horses are heirloom quality home decor pieces.
About the Rocking Horses: Every one of our rocking horses begins as a stack of precision-cut Baltic birch plywood and becomes, over weeks of hand carving, a one-of-one heirloom. As each layer is shaped away, the wood reveals a flowing, contour-line grain that no two horses share.
The large rocking horses is our flagship model. At five feet long and nearly four feet tall, it is scaled for older riders and adults, and it commands a room like a work of art. It is the most carving-intensive horse we build, and the grain of the laminated birch is at its most dramatic at this size.
Your horse is built from scratch. You get to choose the stain, finish, horsehair, tack and inscription. See our horses in person at The Carpenter's House in downtown Olympia.
Shipping: Free pickup at The Carpenter's House in downtown Olympia, WA, or free delivery within 75 miles. Delivery within 150 miles is a flat $250. Outside that range, contact us for a custom shipping quote anywhere in the U.S.
Age 12 and Up: This is a handcrafted heirloom and decorative piece, not a toy. Recommended for riders ages 12 and up; adult supervision is advised whenever it's ridden.
